*MY GOD SIGNS IN FARM OF REFUGEES*
Hello my friends, I like to tell you in this article about my 4th victory in my struggle to help improve our situation as refugees in Lebanon and on planet Earth. I’ll tell you how I used mass E-mailing to bring attention to our problems. You will see how it is possible that one man using the Internet can break down the barriers and destroy the blockade (Walls) that the UNHCR put up to stop the refugees in Lebanon, telling the truth about what is going on here. It’s a battle in the war of truth! This one battle took less than a month to fight.
I'll explain in details what I meant when I said before that I have a mission to help the refugees and that I felt God had chosen me and inspired me to do what I did to help the refugees. I'll show you in details with proof my Gods' signs which I have seen and I have understood well, I hope that you, my friends and also those people whom work for the UNHCR will understand these signs also.
God doesn’t send us E-mails but he shows us special signs that we need to understand and to follow because we are all special in the eyes of God. Each human can learn to see these special signs and for all of us they are different. God loves humans very much and he respects our humanity. This respect means that God must have created us for some reason, to have some meaning for our lives, to have some goals to achieve and missions to do. So God lets us see his special signs by showing us how to understand something or how to do something.
I'll tell you about the way God shows me signs so you can understand. Also how you can see your special signs and share it with us after.
My friends please look around you and inside you, search in your memory for your God signs. Just keep in your mind that you are special to God because you’re human and I know God created us for some reason and he will help us to understand that reason by special signs. Be sure that God sent you some signs but you just missed them in the rush of life. I hope that you will all look to find some of your God signs and to be proud to tell us because the difference between us as humans in front of our God depend on how many God signs we can see. Please notice the greatest humans in our history have seen the greatest Gods' Signs.
Let me first to tell you what I mean by; Farm of refugees, I’ve been living in Lebanon for more than 6 years as an asylum seeker and refugee in Beirut. For all these years I never saw on any TV program in Lebanon or I heard on any Lebanese radio station, or read in any local newspaper anything about refugees' problems in Lebanon. (Except one article in local newspaper, I found it on the net here: http://www.lebanonwire.com/0206/02062413DS.asp
The refugees in Lebanon are isolated from all the rest of the world because the UNHCR didn’t do what it needed to do, to bring the attention of the community (Outside and inside Lebanon) to our problems. Worse than that, the UNHCR have a magic answer for anyone who dare to ask about our problems, by using it they can block any further request for any discussion, that magic answer is: The Lebanon government didn’t signed the UN 51 treaty!!! Well I am sure the UNHCR are just using this as an excuse to do nothing and I will explain about this point in detail in near future. (In my other book: REFUGEES FARM).
So we have 2 points here:
· UNHCR failed to inform any one in the community about our bad situation and the hardships that we faced as refuges and asylum seekers.
· UNHCR prevents refuges from having the right to speak about their own problems by using unfair ways.
This made us to feel that we are just animals in eyes of the UNHCR living in farm that has high sold walls and has iron door but they put on it this sign: UNHCR
My understanding of all that was my motive for thinking about many ways to inform the community about our real problems (To broke the walls and the door of UNHCR- ANIMAL FARM) and to stop the UNHCR from continuing their illegal actions against the refugees who dare to speak out loudly about our problems.
Now I know well the problems that we face, and I have decided on my targets, so now I need a way to reach my targets. From the first day when I started my mission, I promised that I'll work on the net only (My battlefield) and I'll use messages as my bombs. So I have the battlefield and the bombs and what I need is a good strategy or campaigns.
I started to send my messages widely on the net, for that I did a search on the net to find E-mails belonging to different people and in different places. All these E-mails share special characteristics like:
Public E-mails.
· Belong to organizations or governments.
· Work with refugees and human rights issues.
· Some of it are for media agencies (TV, newspapers).
Now I need to access the net, for that I use public shops. I would like here to bring your attention to the fact that I contacted some of these E-mails for months normally (1-5 messages per week) but with out any real response from any of those people (I explained much about this point in the past).
On Wed Jul 31, 2002 3:42 pm I started my campaign JUSTICE FINDER and sent out hundreds of copies of this message, JUSTICE FINDER
At that time I worked nearly 9 hours everyday posting thousands of messages manually! My target wasn’t to block these E-mails because I only sent small messages less than 10KB, it was just for someone to listen to me and notice what I was doing.
At: 12 Aug 2002 12 Aug 2002 I received invitation from UNHCR in Beirut for a meeting:

This was the first result of my campaign, but at that point I could not stop and continued according to my plan. Please remember this date: 21/08/02
I kept sending Emails, thousands of messages daily, until the day before my meeting in the UNHCR office. I stopped the night before the meeting at: 21/08/02, which means about 12 hours before the meeting! I didn’t stop when they told me about the meeting, and I continued until the last minute that was available to send my messages.
Now I'll speak about the big event and the remarkable day 21/08/02 of my 4th victory!
In the morning I went to the office without any idea about what will happen. I did the normal procedures to enter the office. I waited in the reception for little time, and then Ms. Jorget led me to a room. There I found 2 men, I knew one of them, Mr. Domeniq Toma, he is the one who I met before, more than 6 years ago when I was in prison. The other man I had never met before in my life, afterwards he told me that he is Mr. Mustapha Djemali, the Regional Representative. And he started to tell me that he was interested to meet me and to know more about me.
The important points made in the meeting were this:
He told that me that I brought attention!
If I continued like this, it means that I want to stay in Lebanon!
The first point was clear that he admitted that I made a problem for him with my campaign, but the poor man didn't know what was hidden in the future! This is the first time that any one has paid any attention to our situation and problems so I consider this to be a real victory.
The second point was clear, it was a threat and it meant that I would not have the chance to join the third country resettlement program unless I stop what I'm doing now! Now I'm a registered refugee with UNHCR, so it's their job to give me the chance to join that program, but I accept it, because I found out a long time ago that they had declared war on me, and this was their response for my effort to help UNHCR and the refugees in Lebanon.
My friends, the UNHCR are an organization working for refugees as part of the community of human beings and it depends on the support of that community. Actually with out help from the community, UNHCR can do nothing, and like I said before "UNHCR is bigger than any country, but has less power than an individual being" so understand that point, the UNHCR must have good connections with the community (Internationally and locally) which will lead to good co-operation, so they can have good support from the community.
Unfortunately UNHCR failed to accomplish that target and that has affected its performance (you will understand more in future when I write more articles and also if you continue reading this articles).
I'll return to the meeting, we continued our discussion like friends with out any problems, in the middle of the meeting some one knocked on the door, it was Sonya the woman, who threatened me before, I spoke about her in my book: The truth warrior
I understood from this situation that she had important news to tell Mr. Mustapha Djemali the Regional Representative and it seemed to be urgent! So he went out the room, but afterwards he came back again and we continued our meeting quite friendly, after it finished and I left the office.
I don’t know what the important news was that they must tell him when he was in the meeting with me, but I understood it outside the office, and it was about some refugees that had decided to start on that day, a hunger strike which they hoped would solve their problems. What a marvel, a miracle in this very time and place. It was a nightmare for the people of UNHCR, not because it was the first one, but it was special because it was covered by the local media for first time in many years!
Do you think that all these events happened in this order, at the same time and in the same place just by chance? I'll answer at the end of this article.
Any way more about what happened after that day:
After that I left the office of the UNHCR, I continued my day and to took some rest after the hard work that I had done for weeks sending thousands of messages every day. Next day I came to see what happened with the strike and I noticed that some refugees had copies of the local newspaper (Al Ssafir http://www.assafir.com/ ) with an article in it about the hunger strike of the refugees in the garage of the UNHCR in Beirut! Like every body there I was astonished, it was really big surprise for us, the refugees in Lebanon and also for the people of UNHCR, because this never happened before in the past six years. The refugees were very happy about that article because it’s the first time! That anyone had done anything, I was proud and happy about this, to Break down the walls of the UNHCR, to show our pain publicly and Break the silence with our loud voice. And more than that I saw that more than one newspaper had an article about the hunger strike. The refugees where delighted and it made them very happy. They glued the sheets of newspaper to the wall of UNHCR and they slept beneath them it for days and they told every one about it. Maybe my words are not good enough to describe it so I hope this picture:
will give you little more understanding. What more can I say!
The biggest article was in Al Ssafeer so I went to look in libraries to buy it but I didn’t find it in the whole area and it was amazing that it sold out fast in the morning. The people in the library asked me about the news in it so because of word of mouth everybody wanted it.
Actually the people in Lebanon know nothing about our problems or even that we are existing at all! This word REFUGEE mean Palestinian, but this term NON PALESTINIAN REFUGEES means nothing to them because UNHCR failed to do it’s job and to inform the community (Locally and internationally) about our problems and our situation. One of the responsibilities of UNHCR is to inform the community about refugees’ problems generally and individually, but unfortunately UNHCR either didn’t do it well or they didn’t do it at all.

Or look at the main one http://www.unhcr.ch/ and please put this word (Lebanon) in search bar and look for the result. You will see that amnesty has spoken about our problems more than the UNHCR itself; I can’t see anywhere that the UNHCR have spoken about the refugees who get killed in the streets or in jails or about hundreds who had been deported out of Lebanon. I hope you can do a more thorough search to find out if the UNHCR made it clear to you what our situation is!!!
All the refugees here feel that we are isolated from the community because of the UNHCR; they never use the media to speak to the community about our situation. Also they work to block any attempt by journalists to investigate our situation by giving incorrect information like, for example that the problems are result of the fact that Lebanon didn’t signed the UN 51 convention! When that is not true, it's true that Lebanon did not sign, but it is not true this is the cause of all the problems and I’ll explain with more details about this point in the future. (now it's in my book REFUGEES FARM).
Every time the refugees in Lebanon start any activities like peaceful protest against UNHCR, directly the UNHCR call for the police, and the police come and stay in the place. They only watch us, because they know we are protesting against the procedures of UNHCR only and we are more friendly with the police than the people of UNHCR *funny don’t you think* In this protest and the hunger strike, UNHCR called for police like always and asked the police to prevent the journalists from speaking with the refugees in the garage of the UNHCR office in Beirut!!!
Well the job of the UNHCR is to deliver our opinions and our voice to all of the community, and for that UNHCR has a big system of information headed by Mr. Stephane Imberton Officer who is in charge of the Information systems Office. (I don't know what is the job of this system except sending threats to my net provider) for the past 6 years I saw only 3 articles about refugees in local newspaper! But after my campaign I saw nearly 10 articles in period of 10 days! So what do you think may have caused the difference this time?
My 4th victory was bringing attention to our situation as refugees in Lebanon internationally and locally. That means I peacefully broke down the walls of the farm of refugees. The proof is the number of articles about the refugees' situations in Lebanon in the local newspaper and the admission of Mr. Mustapha Djemali at our meeting when he told me: "You brought attention" these are his E-mails: lebbe@unhcr.ch,djemalim@unhcr.ch
My friends I saw many signs from my God, the clearest one was at my meeting with Mr. Mustapha Djemali at his office with Mr. Domenic. This sign was the news about the hunger strike that just started at this particular moment (When I was actually speaking with him) and as well there is the fact that this news was brought by Sonya who was also the first one who threatened me. I started my campaign nearly 3 weeks before my meeting at the UNHCR office, so how could I can manage all these things to happen at the same time and place with all of these people:
Mr. Mustapha Djemali Regional Representative.
Mr. Domineq.
Ms. Sonya.
Hundreds of refugees.
Tens of journalists.
Do you think that I can manage all that? Actually I did my best by following my God signs. I hope that every one will understand that there is a God and he is watching us. Some times he sends us some signs that we need to look out for we must try to understand them and have the courage to follow them.
For all the people whom have been on my Email list for my campaigns, I hope that you will understand my God signs and to be ready for more in the future, if our situation as refugees doesn’t improve. Just remember that the God of us all is in the heavens watching us and I'm here following his signs.
