Chapter 1

OSAM ALTAEE

Osam, the child and the adventurer

I was born in Mesopotamia (Iraq) in Uruk, where my spiritual grandfather Gilgamesh was born, lived and looked for the truth about life and eternity.

I have been raised under the influence of 3 civilizations:

Sumerian             about 2112 BC

Babylonian          about 640 BC

Assyrian              about 750 bc

I have traveled through many cities of these old civilizations:

Uruk

Uor

Babylon

Hatra

Nineveh

From my traveling and exploring of all these cities (in place and time) I gained some of the judgment and wisdom of my great grandfather Hammurabi the first lawmaker in the history of the known world. Also the braveness of my grandfather Nebuchadnezzar the great warrior and the famous conqueror. I hope that I also have the spiritual seeking of my grand father Gilgamesh the truth seeker.

Filled with the inspiration of all this great history I became:

THE TRUTH WARRIOR

OSAM ALTAEE

Hammurabi was a king and a great lawgiver of the Old Babylonian (1792-1750 BC), and the country flourished under the name of Babylonia. His law code was produced in the second year of his reigm. Many new legal concepts were introduced by the Babylonians, and many have been adopted by other civilizations. These concepts include: Legal protection should be provided to lower classes; the state is the authority responsible for enforcing the law; Social justice should be guaranteed; the punishment should fit the crime. Hammurabi Code, ("An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.") is still quoted today attests to its importance, is a collection of the laws and edicts of the Babylonian king Hammurabi, and is considered the earliest legal comprehensive code known in history. A copy of the code is engraved on a block of black diorite nearly 2.4 m (8 ft) high. A team of French archaeologists at Susa, Iraq, formerly ancient Elam unearthed this block, during the winter of 1901-2. The block, broken in three pieces, has been restored and is now in the Louvre Museum in Paris.

King Hammurabi the codes from the sun-god/god of justice, Shamash.

Nebuchadnezzar was "the great king of the Neo-Babylonian Empire, who reigned from 605 to 562 B.C." King Nebuchadnezzar is credited with many great accomplishments. He was a famed conqueror, having defeated many peoples. Some of those who were defeated by him were Egypt, Tyre, Edom and Judah. he followed in the footsteps of his predecessors, conquering many Cities. He marched through Palestine and besieged Jerusalem twice. Nebuchadnezzar In addition to his victorious conquests, he was known for his great building projects. One of his magnificent projects was the beautiful hanging gardens of Babylon, noted as one of the seven wonders of the ancient world.

Tower of Babylon

Gilgamesh was an historical king of Uruk in Babylonia, on the River Euphrates in modern Iraq; he lived about 2700 B.C, two-thirds god and one-third human, is the greatest king on earth and the strongest super-human that ever existed. He decides that he can't live unless granted eternal life; he decides to undertake the most perilous journey of all: the journey to Utnapishtim and his wife, the only mortals on whom the gods had granted eternal life.

Gilgamesh wildly searches the universe for an answer to the meaning of death. At each turn he is told that his search is futile, but he pursues his wearying journey through darkness, to the garden of the gods, and to the dwelling place of Siduri at the very edge of habitation—and even crosses the Waters of Death itself, seeking the answer from the final source of wisdom.
